Responsible Purchasing of Minerals

Nowadays, there grows a major international concern that certain minerals (Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, Gold and Cobalt) from the conflict-affected areas like the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries in Africa bring funds to organizations that involve illegal or unethical activities, including human rights abuses, environmental destruction and corruptions.

In accordance with US legislations on conflict minerals and the guidelines of the OECD, it is necessary to conduct a rational survey for country of origin or due diligence (appropriate survey) to ensure that the finished products does not contain conflict minerals throughout the whole supply chain.

SAGAMI ELEC shall, with the cooperation of our procurement partners will conduct continuous activities towards responsible procurement of minerals aiming no use of conflict minerals in our products, which shall lead to our customers satisfaction and fulfillment of our social responsibility with our best effort.
